Some time (2 years) ago a customer brought me this very scruffy looking car and wanted it back all spick n span straight and shiny.

Why do I suspect that there must be a coat of M81 Hand Polish on the car.

The front end removed:

New floor being made up:

Fitting boot floor:

Boot floor and extensions fitted and finished:

Wheel house treatments at rear: The grey is a marine coating.

Left floor,bulkhead and sill.New sill section made up and fitted.

Finished floor,front and rear:

Bodyshell as a unit,all panels fitted and tested for correct fitting and alignment.

Fantastic project Henk. I really like your attention to detail and workmanship - almost like a local version of Overhaulin'

I hope that you'll be able to get some photos of the vehicle once it is completely assembled.

Yes,the car will come back to me for finals.
Who of you recognised the make/model? It is a Mercedes 280SE 3.5V8 Coupe of the late sixties.
If you have the time,go check here :http://www.mechatronik.de/ click "enineering" and "M Coupe" they have done one for a CTN customer some years ago at R1.6mil.But this one has been given an "update"
