Henk - sorry I missed this thread you started last week. I have not had any experience with the two products either, but I would think that the principles remain the same as with any other engine cleaner and dressing. Cleaner - spray on, agitate, rinse off. Dressing - spray on, wipe excess off and leave to dry.

Test some out and post your results for the benefit of the rest of us.

I will have to.
It bamboozles me that nobody has tried it yet........ or reacted. :(
Does that mean the average enthusiast does not clean his engine compartement,or does it mean they are not interested in the product?
I wonder. Hey you guys, speak up!

Henk - these products are a bit of an anomaly in the Meguiars stable in that they were introduced to the international market (i.e. outside USA) only. In fact, if you run a search on the main US Meguiars site, you won't even find the products listed.

Personally, I already have my engine compartment cleaning regime sorted - clean with APC and/or Super Degreaser and dress with Hyperdressing. I find that these products work for me and the fact that they're available in larger quantities also makes it the more cost effective option.

But these products are intended for the enthausiast at home.
It will bancrupt one using it in a professional environment. But now and then at home use won't hurt.
Hey Springbok, time to clean that Alfa engine? Ok,Ok

These products are going to be released into the USA market for 2011 (not sure if I can say that but the cat is out the bag... :whistling: )

Expect a small packaging change (along the lines of the new Odor Eliminator G2316) but the formula will remain unchanged on both.

What makes the Engine Cleaner a little more special than most is that although a powerful degreaser and grime stripper, it is not caustic and will not cause aluminium and other metal parts to stain white like most degreasers will. For the most part, even agitation is not necessary but an HP for rinsing is recommeded as it significantly reduces the amount of water being "applied" into the engine bay.

The Engine Dressing can be likened to our G41 Natural Shine in many ways, but with a much higher tolerance for heat.
