Forum bugs & irritations

Greg - hopeyou don't mind me starting this thread, but I thought that it would be a good idea to have all of the teething problems covered in one thread.

So far we have the following:

  1. Having to log in each time we visit the forum
  2. Where the posts under a thread run over several pages, one cannot select the page from the main screen but have to open the thread first and then select the relevant page
  3. Various comments relating to the online store and product catalogue (in the process of being addressed by Admin)
  4. I would like to add a new one to the list. Megesh was able to start a thread and post an item without being logged in. Usually forums block unregistered users or users not logged in from anything other than reading posts. If this is not happening, there is no real control over who posts and what is posted.

Please feel free to add to the list as you encounter issues, and we can also cross issues off as they get resolved.

One more thing, would it be possible to get paypal support for the onlline shop?
Thanks

also had that problem .

To solve it, close the forum completely. Go the the Meguiars website and click on the link to the forum. Log on again from there.

OK, we have fixed the problem with posting without logging on. If you are not logged on the system will not let you do anything other than view the forums passively.

We have also made some adjustment to enable browser caching. I am hoping this will resolve the issue that requires everyone to log on repeatedly. Other tweaks to follow.
